Commissioning the BIOFILTRO
After placing the BIOFILTRO in its final position, and before using the filtered water fill the filter element with water and drain it through the tap. Repeat this procedure (2 to 4 times) until the clay taste disappears from the filtered water. Then carry out the initial maintenance described in the video below.
Note: When using BIOFITRO for the first time, the filtration speed is slow at first, until it reaches its normal flow rate within 15 days.
- For best results, it is important to keep the BIOFILTRO as full as possible.
- The slower the filtration speed, the better the water quality.
BIOFILTRO Filtration Speed
BIOFILTRO 30 Liters:
The filtration unit has a capacity of 9 liters with a filtration speed of between 1.4 liters and 2.4 liters/hour, averaging 1.8 liters/hour. Daily water production is around 22 liters with 3 refills in the morning, at noon and in the evening. Ideal for 4 to 6 people
BIOFILTRO 20 Liters:
The filtration unit has a capacity of 9 liters, with a filtration flow rate of between 1.4 and 2.4 litres/hour, averaging 1.8 litres/hour. The daily water output is approximately 15 liters with 3 refills in the morning, noon and evening. Ideal for 3 to 5 people
BIOFILTRO 12 Liters:
The filtration unit has a capacity of 4 liters, with a filtration flow rate of between 0.7 and 1.2 litres/hour, averaging 0.9 litres/hour. The daily water output is approximately 9 liters with 3 refills in the morning, noon and evening. Ideal for 1 to 2 people
BIOFILTRO 7 Liters:
The filtration unit has a capacity of 2 liters with a filtration speed of between 0.30 and 0.53 liters/hour with an average of 0.45 liters/hour. The daily water output is approximately 5 liters, with 3 refills in the morning, noon and evening. Ideal for 1 person
